Lindsay Cross is an environmental scientist who works on policies to protect water and land for a Tallahassee-based non-profit. She is passionate about sharing her love of the outdoors, as well as healthy living practices. Lindsay is a certified yoga instructor at the The Body Electric Yoga Company and has been teaching power, flow, and Ashtanga yoga for 15 years. She leads outdoor adventure travel for women as a guide with Adventures in Good Company and has led paddling, hiking, and multi-sport adventures throughout the US. A certified SCUBA Dive Master, she previously volunteered as a scientist and educator with the Teen Research Underwater Explorers Dive Team, engaging youth with underwater research, including transplanting corals in the Keys. As the former President of the Friends of Weedon Island, Inc., she started the Gopher Weedon Trail Run to raise money for environmental restoration and youth education at Pinellas County’s second-largest nature preserve. She believes that respect for our environment and our bodies go hand-in-hand and seeks to improve the overall health and wellness of all people in the greater St. Petersburg community.
