Fitness Programs

Get Fit St. Pete aims to actively engage the community by offering free fitness programs in parks across the city.

Get Fit St. Pete

Get Fit St. Pete provides access to FREE workouts in parks throughout the city.  Classes are taught by local fitness professionals in an assortment of exercise formats.  All workouts are appropriate for all ages and levels. The goal in this program is to challenge participants to try something new in a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Tuesday Classes

Cardio Kickboxing 

Try this exciting cardio kickboxing class will focus on technique and move into combination work for great workout. No physical boxing. All fitness levels welcome!
1st Tuesday, 6-7 PM, Campbell Park, 601 14th St. S., meet near the recreation center

Pickleball 101 

Try out this paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. Paddles and balls are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own! Class size is limited, 16 participants max. Pre-registration required. Register for your spot here.

2nd Tuesday, 6-7 PM, Bartlett Park, 2000 7th St. S.


Tai Chi
Combines gentle physical exercise and stretching with mindfulness.

3rd Tuesday, 6-7 PM, Northwest Park, 5801 22nd Ave. N., meet in the grass off 22nd Ave near the pickle ball courts

Kayaking Adventure 

Enjoy a great work out on the water. Class size is limited, 20 participants max., must be age 16 or older (10 solo kayaks / 5 tandem kayaks). Pre-registration is required, Register here.

4th Tuesday, 6-7 PM, Coffee Pot Park, 1st St. NE & 31st Ave. NE.


Friday Classes


iStroll will be taking a break over the summer months and returning on September 1st, 2023. In the meantime, be sure to check out our Fit Families class on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Fit Lot Training 

Join us the 2nd Friday of each month for a circuit style class at the AARP sponsored FitLot. This class is good for beginners and anyone hoping to learn a bit more about exercise.

Water Aerobics

This class is good for anyone looking to build strength and improve heart health while putting less stress on your joints and muscles. No lap swimming involved!
3rd Friday, 9-10AM, McLin Pool, 602 14th St. S.

Trail Run Fun

Explore this hidden gem of the city while running, walking or jogging
2nd Saturday, 9-10 AM, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S.

Fit Families 

Family fun and fitness using a variety of different class styles. All fitness levels are welcome for this active family class.
3rd Saturday, 9-10 AM, Walter Fuller Park, 7891 26th Ave. N., meet near the recreation center

Cardio Sport 

This Workout of Sports! This team based fitness / training experience is designed to replicate the excitement and energy of a sports game, mixed with a concert vibe.

AARP Sponsored Outdoor Fitness in the Park – Fit Lot

This FREE one-hour circuit training classes provide a full-body and fun workout that all ages and abilities can benefit from. This series is perfect for people starting a new fitness routine or trying to restart their fitness habits. Participants will train under the guidance of a fitness professional and alongside a group of committed neighbors who are also working to achieve a more active lifestyle. Get Fit St. Pete Membership 

Start this April, Get Fit St. Pete participants will be required to digitally sign into each Get Fit class using a Get Fit Membership . This digital membership  is FREE and open to anyone who would like to attend a Get Fit St. Pete monthly class. Save time and click the link below to complete the online registration or arrive early to a Get Fit Class to register onsite.

Neighborhood Wellness Champions – Neighborhood Walks

Get Fit St. Pete: Neighborhood Walks are on the FOURTH SATURDAY of every month at 9AM.  Walks are located throughout St. Petersburg.

The purpose of the Neighborhood Wellness Champion program is to increase collaboration and engagement between Healthy St. Pete and neighborhoods throughout the City.  Neighborhood Wellness Champions organize monthly walks in their neighborhoods, current walks are indicated on the map.
