Join our new LGBTQIA+ Support Group
By Rhenelle McSween-Navarro, Community Health Specialist
Healthy St. Pete is thrilled to announce a new LGBTQIA+ Support Group starting on May 8 and continuing the 2nd Thursday of every month! This initiative, in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the USF St. Pete Pride Alliance, offers a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where individuals can share their stories and connect with others in the community.
Taking place from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the West Community Library Gibbs Conference Room LI-223 this group provides the perfect opportunity for participants to find strength in their experiences while learning wellness tools to support their mental health and overall well-being. Whether you’re looking for a community to lean on or helpful resources to navigate life’s challenges, this group is here for you in a zero-judgment environment.
This support group is free to attend and is open to all community members. Come be a part of a group that celebrates identity, encourages wellness, and offers a welcoming space for all. We look forward to seeing you there! Mark your calendars for our next group coming up on May 8, and every 2nd Thursday after that!
