HealthyKids Partner Feature: Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital

Healthier Together Ambassador, Mallory Carteaux, has helped to kick off the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital’s Fit4Allkids program. The program provides wellness education to kids, teens, and their families and includes education on nutrition, mental health, sleep, and physical activity through a variety of hands-on activities. More information on programming is found here: https://www.hopkinsallchildrens.org/Community/Family-Health-and-Wellness/Our-Programs.

Physical activity is an important component of the program, as getting kids moving benefits all aspects of their lives! Kids and teens are encouraged to get at least 60 minutes of exercise per day and to find activities that they truly enjoy! When kids are participating in a physical activity that is fun and age-appropriate, they are far more likely to continue to engage and reap the benefits on their physical, mental, and emotional health.
